St George in the East

St George in the East, by Nicholas Hawksmoor, built between 1714 and 1729.

Photographed with a Holga 120 medium format camera, and Fomapan 400 film.

The church was badly damaged by bombing during World War 2. The interior was destroyed but the external walls and the distinctive towers survived. A modern church was built within the original walls.
